Its physically enraging watching an entire community be stupid about something, and knowing you’re not important enough to convince them there’s no reason to be stupid.
You know. In a way. That helped.
im just reblogging it for kirby superstar
I’m still fucked up at the fact that the longest piece of English fictional literature written by any human is a super smash bros brawl fan fic.
Would you like to talk about Homestuck?
A lot of people are commenting this post with Homestuck related stuff.
Homestuck is calculated to have only a bit over about one million and no matter how much wiggle room you give it to claim it has more words it is no where near Subspace Emissary’s word count of 3,929,194 words as of now(September 1st, 2014).
Got ruined already on circa early Part 55 when he pushed the fucking Symphonia cast into heavy focus and as a result the fandom just circle jerks over them and their shitty lore instead of focusing on the real Nintendo protagonists and the game they are actually playing.
What a piece of shit I’ll be reading Olympus instead.
I don’t get how some people are saying that P5’s new protagonist is poorly designed.
You literally saw 60 seconds-worth of short clips and still shots of a character in a teaser trailer, with no info on their personality, and available in-game choices, nor how they fight, or how they treat their allies and the people around them, but you somehow have enough info to say that the protagonist is poorly designed, and Atlus has disappointed you.
First impressions matter a lot, so they’re cool to have their opinion on his design. I don’t see how it’s worth criticizing people for saying what they think about him from an aesthetic perspective.
Because really, that won’t be a reason for anyone to actually not buy Persona 5, or it really just shows that they weren’t a huge fan of the franchise in the first place, given that Persona’s main quality is the characters and how they are developed throughout the game.
What people should care more about is if it had been already confirmed that the guy in the trailer is actually the protagonist, since at least to my knowledge there hasn’t been an actual confirmation on that yet. Could be just as well the antagonist as well as anybody else.
The true question is:
Which version will we not be released in Europe?
First of all, I have to say the guy who thought naming the 3DS successor “New 3DS” should be fired just along with the guy who thought “Wii U” was going to be a good name.
Second of all, it’s launching with Wii’s all too good Xenoblade Chronicles, produced by the great people at Monolith Software, incompatible with gameplay on the “old” 3DSes since it fully takes advantage of the amped up CPU and the additional shoulder buttons.
And boy it sure doesn’t look like it does. I mean let there be said that this is all WIP and perhaps Monolith previously intended to port it to the regular 3DS before the New 3DS even popped into existence, but it sure doesn’t look flattering, which is a lofty thing to do given just how smudgy and bad the Wii version looked on occasion. Of course it’s a huge game, so that explains the crappy graphics partly, but I am kinda still hoping it doesn’t stay looking like this.
I’m kinda split onto the whole thing, I think it’s hella rad that Xenoblade Chronicles is seeing a rerelease given that most Wii copies nowadays go for a minimum of $50, but at the same time it’s kinda sad to think that instead of a WiiU remaster, we’re gonna get a smudgy N3DS port that potentially introduces the demise of the quality 3DS software market.
So I’m holding out hope that maybe Xenoblade and other games will be still playable on the regular 3DS with worse performance or lacking features, kinda like how the DSi enhanced games worked on regular DSes. It feels way too soon to ditch the 3DS as a whole again.
